As the trade deadline approached in baseball, the Marlins traded for two pitchers from the San Diego Padres. One of them had medical issue and was untraded.
A day or so later, the Red Sox traded for a pitcher from the Padres. And he, too, had a medical issue that wasn't disclosed.
And now the MLB is looking into what in the heck is going on in San Diego.
I can't tell you what the issue is, but here's the Miami connection: executive Mike Dee went to the Padres so he's connected to it.
I found that chuckle worthy.
