Looks like the Dolphins will be passing gas

Okay so today it appears the team will hire Gasse as the new head coach. I stand behind my previous point that Campbell was the insiders favorite.

But gas probably filled the room, and instead they took another guy with no head coaching experience. So I suppose there's that.

The stats on Chicagos offense last season were rather pedestrian, considering they had a middle of the road QB and a terrific running back.

There is one thing you can say about Gasse: he was the QB coach with the Broncos when they had Tim Tebow, so hopefully that will mean he'll try and sign Tebow to make this offense great!!

So Dolphins fans. What do you think? I say: yawn.

Needed a experienced coach not a QB tweeter. Mr. Ross please sell the team and exit your ego wagon.

I have no faith in anyone the Dolphins pick. Too many bad years after Shula. But I love my Fins and hope for the best. At least we'll know who to blame if things go south.

We needed experience. Not what I expected. Following the Dolphins is like "Groundhog Day". Let's hope strong coordinators on offense and defense are selected.

Reader Mike Orlando said it all...Groundhog, er, Groundphin day !!!
Another newbie in Gase. Please ! Can you see 37 year old, no HC exp, Gase telling Suh he just "effed up" on a play ?
Ha, Suh would show him the finger, grab his croch at him.
All this for Tannehill. Tannehill got new toys last year to play with, 4 yrs to prove himself, 29-35 record, Tannehill got Sherman, Lazor fired. Ok, what he never got was an OLINE and I place that on the front office. Everyone in the NFL knew that the team had NO guards, and you need two to start, and some depth. So, now get Tannehill a true Oline with Albert, James, Pouncey, and let's see. If Tannehill fails, with an Oline, Toys, and now his "QB guru" as coach, I will pay for his Limo to get RT out of town! Tired of this unMerry Go Round. Oh, and by the way, who is going to run this defense ? If it is another newbie, Phins are fried before year even starts. Ross is a nutcake. Needs to sell now that he has fixed up the stadium. He will get a decent return on his investment, even though they have been losers. All he ever wanted anyway. Maybe Ross will throw in a free orange carpet for the new owners...lol.

Seriously, Tebow? That guy is poison! I'm going to find it hard to get excited again about my Tunas untill they prove they have the ability to not screw up the darft, coach players up instead of down and learn how to teach the fundamentals of the game such as tackleing and blocking. We'll see, but not holding my breath anymore!

Should have brought in Tom Coughlin for 2 years; let him pick his OS and DC; groom Campbell and decide from there. I'm hopeful but yet another coordinator with no HC experience? Well the odds are with us to find a OC or DC that actually makes the transition....Now to see who we get as OC & DC and then the draft; we need badly OG (2) and 2 playmaking DB's, LB's and I'll take a safety also

I agree with you on this one Ray. This is not good news. At least Tannebaum and Adam can walk each other out in 2 years. Ross is apparently the biggest charity donor in Miami history. Renovates the stadium that no one will want to attend, pays Suh enough for his future great great grand children to retire, Adam Gase gets a 5 year deal, with next to no credentials or previous results and all this money spent doesn't translate to wins. He hasn't even bought positive expectations to this point. So the question is, how do I get to "work" for Ross? I've seen Bill Parcells on tv before and I also own a home, so technically, I'm in the real estate business. I think Im next in line for an executive job and a huge guaranteed contract with the Dolphins. If he fires me in a year, thats fine, Ill expect it and I can retire!

Well, I wanted Hugh Jackson as the new HC. But I guess Adam Gase was generating a lot of interest for the same reasons that Jackson is.

I really could care less about HC experience. The coaches with HC experience that Miami was looking at have all been total losers or completely irrelevant for the last 5 years or more. I'm not interested in another dinosaur with no personality. I MAYBE could've gotten slightly excited if Coughlin had been hired, simply because he apparently knows how to beat the Patriots.

I'm going to reserve my optimism regardless because I can't get excited about any decision Tannenbaum makes. In fact, if Jackson had been hired, I'd probably be less high on him solely based on the fact that he was chosen by Tannenbaum.

It this point, there was no way the Miami front office was going to impress me. No matter who they picked. I'll just be hoping for the best and expecting the worst.

Now they are saying Gase will have full control over the 53-man roster. What does this mean? Our brass will select in the draft again and let Gase decide after who gets cut??? Our brass is who selected Ted Ginn over Patrick Willis. Our brass is who selected Dion Jordan. Our brass selected Jordan Phillips in the 2nd round (our strongest unit on the team at the time) over a stud Offensive Guard. These decisions amaze me!

Looks like Philbin 2.0 to me. I agree with FinFanNJ that we should have went with an experienced head coach and let him groom Campbell. This hire doesn't give me a lot of optimism.
