88 Yards ?

88 Yards for our boy Ryan.  Way to go bud, way to go.  For all of you Tannehill supporters you will win this for now, because he isn't going anywhere but once we have a whole new coaching staff next year and a new system and 17 STILL doesn't produce and we have yet another wasted year because 2016 will be a failed year if he is still starting THEN, I will say.  Told you so.  I'm not going to even bother arguing my point because ill get the same responses, his OC sucked, he now has an interim OC, his OL sucks, he has no time.. blah blah blah.  Real QB's don't need excuses, they find ways to win or make big plays because they have talent.

When he has a great game do you call him a hal of famer? Why after a bad game do you say he has no talent? Get a grip.

"Real QB's don't need excuses, they find ways to win or make big plays because they have talent."

Apparently, Tannehill found a way to make at least one big play that won the game yesterday.

FYI, I'm not a "Tannehill supporter". My feeling is that the jury is out on the guy. Until the leadership establishes some stability, install a real NFL offensive system, and at least fix some of the O-Line issues, you can't make a judgement. This isn't an excuse... its sanity. There are so many things wrong with this team, that to focus on the QB in a situation where no QB would be successful completely misses the point.

I really wish this team were one QB away from being competitive, but its more like 1 owner, 1 GM, 1 head coach, 1 offensive coordinator, 1 defensive coordinator, 3 drafts away... Not a good time to be a Dolphins fan.

You make some good points linearz.

Tannehill threw a couple very nice passes. Obviously the TD to Parker and the other is the last one to Parker late in the game for the first down that allowed us to pretty much run out the clock.

He didn't light it up but he also didn't do anything to hurt us either. Punting when your defense is playing well is not a bad thing.

Lets face it, Campbell wants to run the ball an d play defense and that's what we're going to do. Get used to it.

Look at how much talent this team lacks! The Oline cant run block and Tannehill leads the league in sacks over the last 3 years by a WIDE margin. Lazor's idea of play calling was to throw 72% of the time. How hard is it for a defense to stop T hill when you know Miami is throwing 3 out of 4 plays and throwing most plays under 10 yards? Every blitz puts Tannehill upside down and his WR talent is Rishard "Slow-Mo" Matthews and Kenny "Straight Line" Stills? That doesnt even include how amazingly terrible Greg Jennings has been.

The Oline gets destroyed against the best Dlines in the league 4 times a year in Buffalo and NY and another 2 against Bellicheat. Sure, Tannehill isn't Tom Brady and will never be, but there are like 5 guys in the whole world, who can put a team on his back and go win with even the lowest caliber teammates. With all the other issues this team has, why would you want to decimate one of only good (not great) players the team has? We have two soft guards, no depth at tackle (which is critical knowing Alberts injury history) Pouncey has missed time the last 2 years, Jennings, Stills and Matthews are our starting WR's, the D has one average LB in Jenkins, Grimes is slowing down with no one to compliment him, no FS, Wake is 100 yrs old and suffered a career altering injury and Earl Mitchell has been a bum next to Suh on the Dline.

Oh yeah, not to mention the coaching situation. So you say, lets get a new QB. Why? The team is no where near ready to compete and the QB would just get flattened and injured. At least Tannehill is tough as hell and has been able to survive the brutality he has faced since coming here. I share a lot of the negative feelings you have about this team but saying Tannehill has no talent just sounds like whining. I know you're pissed, I am too but saying Tannehill sucks isn't analytical or even true. At least point your anger and resent where it belongs. You are completely justified to be pissed but I think you're taking it out on the wrong guy.

Wasn't it great to see so many JV guys coming in and making plays.

Parker was wonderful. The backups on DL won the game for us. Game balls to Derrick Shelby and Jordan Phillips for stepping up when called upon.

Don't miss the good looking for the bad.

Gary, you call a great game 88 yards passing ? and for the record, I haven't seen him have a great game in 3 years, so do not put words in my mouth. He's not good. bottom line. performance tells it all.

Funny the coaches don't think he is good but Front office does who do you think has a better grip on evaluating talent, the suits or the men actually evaluating on the field ? Ride the 17 bus all you want, but this team will be only as good as their leader at QB. so far, it's been a losing season with 17 4 years straight. Lets see what year 5 and a whole new system brings

For the Tanny haters, Bob Greise in 1973 Superbowl passed for 8-11 88yrds 1-td and 1-int. In the 1974 Superbowl Greise passed for 6-7 for 73 yrds and no tds. What he had was a great coach, offensive line, running attack and defense!

Mike, you haven't seen him have a great game in three years? Sun 10/25

Carl I like your optimism because I need to hear something good once in a while and yes our bench guys played well vs there's. Shelby and Phillips played well and Parker finally flashed what we already knew he could do. But we're 5-7 and beat the Ravens who didn't have Flacco, Forsett, Suggs or Smith. Matt Schaub was their qb! Lol. 7 points from the Offense and even Lamar Miller lost a fumble which is unlike him. We didn't get any closer to making the playoffs but we hurt our draft stock next year. I have a hard time seeing the good on that Sunday. So yeah, like my wife always optimistically tells me, there's always next year!

zzombie. You just proved my point, 1 game, you came up with 1 game out of 3 years. Hell ill even give you another game. Last year vs San Diego. Now you have 2 games out of 3 years that he stood out. If that is what you want as a qb and a franchise then ok. That is what we will have for the foreseeable future.
