Bench Tannehill!

For all this team's problems, I realize QB play might not be the biggest issue.

But neither is Tannehill helping the team. Two weeks and two safeties?! Really?

Look around the league and see all the QBs who are carrying their teams. Who lead their teams and actually can win a game.

BennyHill is not one of them.

The team needs ... Something. Why not start with something obvious?

I have a better idea. Bench everyone. Every single person. Let the practice squad play. Apparently the big-money guys don't want to win, so let them sit. This season is over. The Titans and Texans games were just more false hope for a fan base that has HAD ENOUGH. I don't care anymore about whether or not Tannehill is the future or the problem. Right now the entire team needs to be wrecked and rebuild from the owner down.

amen for last 3+ years

You are delusional. It is perfectly fair to mad about this game but really...? How would benching him help? Will.it help grimes not get burned the whole game? Will it help jason fox not be terrible? Will it help the linebackers read plays and tackle? If this is the best you can come up do all phins fans a favor and bench yourself.

Wow, I could not have said it any better. This team is pathetic. I have been a fan since 1988 and this is the worst I have seen since 2007. At least with Tony Sparano the team played hard. I'M DONE!!!!

Tannehill is a backup qb.

Tannehaters gonna hate. But seriously, this whole team is terrible. Plus the safety was Pouncey's fault. I agree that Tannehill isn't helping, but there are problems WAY bigger than QB here. Benching him will most likely result in even more losses. Who do we have with any potential? And for the love of God, don't say Matt Moore because every time someone says that I think one of my brain cells dies. If we're going to replace Tannehill, it needs to be in the draft, though I'm not sure there will be any good candidates in this draft. The Aaron Rodgers and Tom Bradys are one in a billion. That's why the best way to win is to stop focusing so much on the damn QB and start focusing on building a good old, tried and true, smash-mouth game plan and getting the right coaches and player to run it.

The only players I care about keeping right now are Miller and Landry.

I can't believe I'm saying this but we should trade Cam Wake to a team that he has a chance to win a SB with. He's 33 and doesn't have much time left and he's got all the heart and loyalty you could ever ask for. He deserves better than this shit show tard carnival they are running in Miami.

Hiring Philbin was a huge mistake by Ross, and every decision made since then has had a negative effect on this team. Ross kept Ireland, who wasted high draft picks on injured players (something Hickey has done too). Tannehill is NOT and will NEVER be a franchise QB, so why was he given a huge contract without earning it first? Thanks, Ross and Tannenbaum (another mistake by Ross). How about Philbin and Coyle inheriting a Top 5 rushing defense, and changing it into the pitiful team that we saw today? How about an offense that actually calls 3 yard (or less) pass plays on 3rd and long, and believes that this style of football can be effective? Why did the personnel guys fail to upgrade the OL, LB, and CB positions over the offseason?

Ross needs to sell the team because he doesn't have the intelligence to know that a complete housecleaning from top to bottom is in order. If he had done this when Sparano was fired, they may have become a playoff team by now. But, his idiotic decisions to hire Philbin, stick with him after 2 consecutive late season collapses when the playoffs were within their grasp, and then to finally fire him after the season has already started have just wasted 4 whole seasons. Ross has no one to blame but himself for the poor play of this team; they're bad because he makes poor and untimely football decisions. It's beyond sad that after 4 years of Philbin and his promise of a dynamic, explosive offense this team is worse now that it was before he was hired.

The season is over the first week of Nov. Great. At least the off season will be interesting. Who will the new coach be? How many players will get dumped after this awful season? Why not just tank the rest of the games and see how high a draft pick they can get? This whole organization is a shadow of what it was. I will never stop being a Dolphin fan, but this team is had to watch.

@statrocker60 Are you positive that Hickey made all those mistakes this year in the draft? Last year he was lights out this year they hire the jerkoff Tannebaum who responsible for the "Sanchize" debacle in New York and suddenly all are rookies are hurt or crap. Don't blame Hickey I think Ross screwed him over this year.
@RayFinkle at this point who would you rather have Tannehill or Luck? We all were screaming last year that our O-Line sucks and the Dolphins invested huge in the defensive line and receivers. How is that Tannehill's fault? He hasn't shown yet that he is the comeback king and that is worrisome but I still believe he is better than our other options.

How about instead of benching Tannehill, put him in a position to win. He has the worst O-Line in the NFL, no run game, and a mickey mouse offensive playbook. By all accounts the guy is smart, so why not let him audible?

As long as all of the team's coaching staff are lame ducks, we will not get the best out of the players. The preparation is awful, the play calling completely unimaginative and predictable. The fact that this team thinks it doesn't need a short yardage offense is a joke.

There is no doubt in my mind that this team has the worst coaching and front office in the NFL. If 55 year old Shula had these same players, this team would be going deep into the playoffs.

The problem isn't Tannehill, its that the front office decided to keep a coach that they would be OK with firing at the 1/4 mark, and then has no idea what to do next. The fact that the organization appears at times to be run by three different people doesn't seem to help. Congrats to the owner for creating a management structure that turns the entire team into a JOKE!

Watch the coaches film at 2:44 - 2:50 of Rizi interview. Do you see what I see? A wide open receiver at the top of the screen on each play. Two chances to score on consecutive plays wasted. He is not a starting QB.
