The Truth is Hard for me to Swallow - The Pats & Bills ARE Better than us at the moment

We have a lot of work to do, coaching, players, scheme; that week one performance was not what the fan-base was expecting.  It was nice to get the win, but truthfully, had we played a "good" team, we would have gotten spanked.

Frankly. we looked like we were playing in slow motion, except for Misi, Grimes, and Jones.  Yes, there were a few good plays, especially on special teams.

Thank you Joe for 'going for it on 4th down.'  Do that more often.  I know we failed, but keep putting those guys in that position.

I do like that the offense held the ball at the end to finish the game.  That last first down was sweet.

Those are my random thoughts.   Generally though, I am still in shock we played so poorly!

One game dimwit

It looked as if the Redskins were prepared for the Dolphins, but the Dolphins had prepared as if the game were another pre-season game.

The Redskins did everything we would expect to see from an opposing team, run outside (away from Suh), and shutdown the run to make the Dolphin offense one dimensional. This will happen every week until Tannehill makes the opposition pay.

Meanwhile, it looked like Miami like it was playing from about 1/5 its offensive playbook. Don't know if this was for a reason. Perhaps the team felt it could go through the motions, not giving too much away. If that is the case, call the game a success. They one, its one game, move on.

I hope my shock subsides after the Buffalo game in two weeks. If we pull that one off, I will feel better! I have a good feeling about next week - we should be able to dominate.

I watched every play of The 1st team in preseason.
Tanny was just off and they played a little sloppy on both sides
Last yr we would have lost this game.
We had a big play to take the lead a stop on a late drive when needed and a big conversion on 2nd and 16 to kill the game

I should have specified Ryan didn't miss wide open guys in the preseason .
thinking quicker than I type LOL

Yeah... I did too. I was hoping that Ryan would show today. :)

The way they ran on our line was embarrassing! That's suppose to be our strength. They ran between the tackles, around the tackles, through the tackles etc etc. I think our second round draft pick is a stud! He's huge and almost unblockable. Coyle is the guy who really needs to go! A hundred yards in the first half is embarrassing! Buffalo is gonna kill us.

Both teams ARE better than Miami. The Pats have better coaching, and the Bills are more physical. Ever since Philbin was hired this team has become weak. Sparano had a tough team that lacked talent at key positions, while this coaching staff has talent but can't do anything with it.

Yep! Belicheat wins 5 superbowls with this team! Why have we been trying for years to get a good offensive line and the Patsies lose players on their line every year and have a great line year after year

Get rid of Kevin Coyle. This guy was dropping linemen into coverage all day and a big reason why the Redskins ran so effectively. His scheme is just way off! Our defensive front four is the strength of this team because they can get to the passer by the themselves! But NOOO, Coyle tries to get cute and drop his best pass rushers in coverage and rush his below average linebackers..???? WTF ARE YOU DOING GUY????

Ryan had an "okay" game yesterday. He was a bit off all day, throwing behind the receivers, etc. The defense looked as bad as it did last year not stopping the run. We just looked unprepared all around. Hoping they get this stuff fixed quick.

Agreed and the reason is ----- Coaching!! Ryan coached the hell out of that team Sunday giving Taylor the confidence he needed. one week yes, but the Bills are improved you can see that. What i saw Sunday in Washington is the 2013, 2014 Dolphins.
