Rishard Matthews or Kenny Stills ?

It's been a while since my last post thought I wanted to get back in the swing of things.  I want to express my hope that Philbin doesn't Shut out Stills due to his lack of practice time.  Don't get my wrong I love Matthews, he should play I just hope they all get reps because they all can help.  Stills has mega speed and is one tough guy, Philbin's track record shows he sits and doesn't play people for stupid reasons, in my opinion it's because he doesn't take to vets and wants to show his control.  Lack of practice only goes so far, I'll paraphrase the words of Marino.  I remember him saying this to a reporter who asked him about chemistry with receivers, his response was and I'll never forget it " You guys complicate this too much.   I just throw it to the open guy, just get open."  Stills can do just that and add an element that we haven't had in sometime, one that Wallace couldn't give, nor was he used properly.  So please Philbin, play the threats you have, drop the ego and lets not make the same mistake with Stills that we did with Wallace.

I suspect that situation is going to be a point of discontent. Stills didn't look too happy during an interview the other day following Matthews's being named starter for game 3 (nor should he be happy). But Matthews has been productive this PS and Stills really hasn't shown much aside from his first day back from injury.

Matthews earned it. Kenny will still have big role in offense. We will need all our receivers this year.

Stills is the better of the two...but is he playing better.? That is the question...I think when all is settled,Stills will rise to the top with Parker and Landry and Jennings and Mathews also making big contributions...! Let teams try to stop that passle of receivers....

Rishard Matthews has earned it. He is actually as good or better than Brandon Marshall. He sure as hell catches the ball better (less drops). Let's let him show us. He is the No. 1 Receiver until Parker gets back 100% healthy. He is physical, high-points the ball, and screens the defenders as well as anyone in the league. When Kenny Stills get back to full speed, he will help us in 4 and 5 wide plays. Until then, let him share time with Matthews.

A lot of looks from the QB are timing in the progressions. The O Line factors into that too. Stills may have had opportunities to get open deep but Tannehill fired to open slants instead. Moving the chains is important to keep the D fresh.

I like Matthews. He has come on very well since last 1/4 of 2014 season. Stills will get his chances.

Isn't this great to have these discussions as opposed to "who can we pick up on waivers?"

Yep, Rishard has earned it, SURE, however, don't leave Stills out. At the minimum, the "threat" of the deep ball is needed to open up things underneath, and the running game as well. Start: Landry, Matthews and Stills, alternate Landry and Matthews on the inside slot. Jennings comes in for 3rd down as well. There is your 4 WR's.
No need to rush D.Parker for the first few games. If that screw is unleashed, he and Phins long term are "screwed". Be smart, I know that is tough for you to do,
"Mr. Queasy", but please try. This season is all about the first 6 games.
It is clear the end of the season is going to be a real challenge, home or not. Need the early part of the season to be 5-1, 4-2 minimum.

agreed with all posts, if Stills can be used to open the field it will then lead to more shots in the middle for 18 to truck over people! it's a win win.
