Sea of Hands Game

Wow. Watching that 1974 Divisional Playoff Game between the Dolphins and Raiders in Oakland on the NFL Network not only brought back so many fond memories of seasons past but also the bitterness of such a tough loss.

If you have never seen that game or would like to see it again then set your DVRs for Monday morning at 3 AM EST for the NFL Network's replay of this classic game.

There were so many big plays and so many Hall of Famers involved. The production is intertwined with commentary from the coaches and players that you come away with the knowledge of how big that game was to all those players involved and how it still effects them to this day.

I don't want to spoil anything for you so just watch it if you can and comment afterwards about how it made you feel then and now.

Phins Up!!!

I was sick as a dog for weeks after this game. I was already upset that the best team in football had to go on the the playoffs.

I know. Back then Division winners were predetermined prior to season as tocwhocwould host what rounds. In 1974, Oakland was 1 seed anyway but we were 2 seed and had to go on road for first round.
Hell, in 1972, we were undefeated and had to go to Pittsburgh for AFC Championship Game. Thank God it was 65 degrees that day.
