"Suck For The Duck!!!"

The Dolphins may win a few games this season but two things are apparent.

One: Tannehill is not our QB of the future

Two: Philbin is not our coach of the future

We are sitting on only 2 wins, its not to late to hope for Marcus Mariota from Oregon! Look how that worked out for the Colts!

I say “SUCK FOR THE DUCK!!!!”

I can live with Philbin if he starts with another Qb. If not, then philbin has to go too; and keep n mind, Philbin may have made those bad calls to secure a position with the Packers when he is fired this season. Philbin can save his job if he just makes a change at QB.

Shut up. Why would you advocate losing on purpose. You so called fans make me sick.

avatar

@ Geoff: Because losing on purpose means you get the best QB in the draft. Since The Phins have not had a good one since Marino, that sounds like a pretty good idea. Hope this answered your question

Agree with Dave and Lawrence, its the draft system. 'Real' fans see the bigger picture and are sick of mediocrity

@Mouldymuffin: Thanks for the comment. I think Philbin has to go. His management of the last 3 minutes of the GB game was HORRENDOUS. I can explain my perspective if you would like, just let me know. As for Tannehill, he is not the answer. Time to move on. His passer rating sucks as a whole, sucks on 3rd down, and is a turn over machine. Nothing to see here anymore. When he makes a decent play, it does not change the fact that he is horrible.

Philbin has to go. His play calling is horrendous when it matters. Start Tannehill until you find someone better, but right now he's the best they have. I almost hope we don't make the playoffs because then Philbin stays.

Pro organizations don't have that attitude. Real fans want to win ! that would be today and not the future. Talent is assembled . Wheeler must go . Let the draft play out and lets find a way into this years playoffs. Hey we already beat NE. Lets stand tall and not fall down like a bunch of __ ssie 's. Philbin needs to go only if we can be sure a better replacement aks Don Shula will be filling his shoes. Tannehill didn't win or lose the game yesterday.

Let's not start that baloney again.

@Farley999: 2 turnovers for Tannehill didnt help the cause for a W and neither did his under throw of Charles Clay on a potential TD. I admire your enthusiam as a fan but this team will not rally under Philbin or Tannehill. here are some interesting statistics on Tannehill:

67.3 passer rating in the 4th quarter this year-ranked 31st in the league

74.1 passer rating on 3rd down-ranked 28th in the league

4/15 on deep passed W/ 1 TD & 2 INTs-37.5 passer rating

81.2 overall passer rating-31 QB's rank higher, one of which is Brian Hoyer of Cleveland who has a passer rating of 99.5. And may I remind you that Cleveland is 3-2 and competing in every game they play, and oh yeah, they are without their best WR and not much talent on offense.

Tannehill may not help lose games but he damn sure isnt helping the Phins win any either...

Lawrence, if Philbin would just allow Matt Moore to start one game; everyone will see how far we have fallen in the QB ranks. I agree with Omar; Tannehill is 2 years removed from becoming a game manager. It is not worth the investment in time. Start Matt Moore or Seth Lobato. All will be amazed at how fast our offense scores consistently.

As someone who lives just north of Eugene, and who has seen Marcus Mariota up-close and personal a number of times, I can promise you that he's much more Vince Young than he is Andrew Luck. Surely, some hapless team will stake their draft and their future on MM. We all better hope that it isn't the Dolphins.

avatar

@ Michael Payne: The Dolphins, (the hapless team), did stake their draft and their so called "future" on Tannehill and look how that turned out. I am willing to take the chance. What can be worse than what we got? We already have a QB ranked in the bottom 5 in every important category that measures a QB.

avatar

@ Lawrence

Statistics can paint any number of pictures. Look at yesterdays second half Tannehill stats ( QB rating) and throw them in the mix with this :
Most dropped passes:

1 Indianapolis Colts 15
2 Minnesota Vikings 14
3 Miami Dolphins 13
4 Baltimore Ravens 13

If not for coaching Tannehill would have beat Rogers yesterday.. yea it hurt but acknowledge reality. Respected organizations ie New England, Green Bay , Seattle and Denver would never contemplate losing on porpoise !

avatar

@ Farley999: As I have stated before, playing half a game does not cut it and it happens to often with Tannehill. You know what the 4 teams you mentioned have in common? They ALL have an elite QB, that is what the Phins need because they are far from a "respectable organization"

avatar

@ Farley 999: In your comment you also pointed out the dropped passes. The Colts lead that category according to you so please look up Andrew Luck's passer rating and compare it to Tannehill's. As I said, elite QB conquers most flaws, the Phins do not have one...
