Some Observations And Facts From The Green Bay Game

I said the Phins needed 30 points to beat Green Bay, 24 is not quite 30.

Ryan Tannehill's first half passer rating was 26.0

The Phins offense did not have 100 yards of total offense in the first half.

The Dolphins still can't tackle. At least 10 missed tackles that I saw.

All this adds up to a good way to not beat the Packers, even though it was a home game.

I don't know if I am even proud to be saying this but I told everyone that Tannehill's performance against Oakland meant nothing, today proved me right.

In a previous post I remember specifically saying that if the Phins and Tannehill wanted to silence critics, they needed to put up more points than Aaron Rodgers and get a win at home against Green Bay, that obviously didn't happen.

The lone bright spot was that at least they competed the whole game. Someone owes the entire defense a nice steak dinner.

It was an entertaining game to watch.

The Defense gave up the winning score, Hardly worth a steak dinner.

@ Jack: no argument that the D gave up the winning score, HOWEVER, they played nearly the whole game because the offense couldn't get anything going for half the game. Coyle called a pretty good game except for the final play. Wheeler continues to kill us in coverage and yet he is in there in the most crucial play of the game in coverage yet again. It was the defense that kept Miami in the game.

Just get rid if Philben, calling 2 timeouts with the Green Bay having no time outs left One on 4th and 10 when Green Bay was reeling, the other with 6 seconds left. How can you do this... Oh and when we had the ball with 3 minutes and change he decides to throw on 1st down and then run on 3rd down.

The offense lost this game. Another example of the offense being flat in the first half.

We have a winner!!
