Hmmmmmm..........

So Philbin has apparently given "total control" of the offense to Bill Lazor. Very interesting....

This actually makes me feel a whole lot better about our chances of improving the offense this year.

My thoughts exactly! Still not trying to get overly hyped about this year though, don't want déjà vu all over again...

Just above the comments is a line that says "like this article?". I'm looking for the article, all I see is something that looks like a tweet. Great job.

Lawrence, if we go 3-0, you'll be whistling Dixie!

LOL Carl! I was whistling away last year and forgot the melody halfway through the season! A whole lot of things have to go just right for the offseason hype to translate to regular season success. All we can do is sit back, see how camp goes, and try not to get too excited!

Good, BUT....since Philbin was allegedly hired for his expertise on the offensive side of the football, it sort of makes you wonder what we need him for, doesn't it?

avatar

I see your point Michael. The cheese heads did have Aaron Rodgers though. An elite QB can mask a lot of things...

Clever move by Philbin. Offense is great then he's a genius for giving Lazor control, but if it fails it was nothing to do with him. As a poster above has said, what exactly does he bring to this team?

Head Coach has many responsibilities that a off coordinator does not. The point is you have to have both.

Mouldy, I'm not sure what Lazor brings to the team. All we know is that he is credited with the success of Nick Foles last year and that he has worked under coaches like Joe Gibbs, Mike Holmgren, and Chip Kelly. Early reports from rookie camp are that the offense looks like Kelly's and that the offense is "fast", if that is true then Kelly must have had a big influence on Lazor considering the other great coaches he has worked for...

Doug - remember that Philbin doesn't see or hear anything, so difficult to assess what his responsibilities COULD be ;-). Lawrence, gotta say I m excited for Lazor; early signs from Rookie camp look good
