What a train wreck

News just broke that Mike Sherman has been fired.

And that would seem to signal that Ireland and Philbin are safe. Because that was Miami's only problem...right?

Okay that's it. I'm done with this team. I was really hoping for some intelligent change. Not more of the same, just to try and make us feel better.

What a clueless owner. Argue. Discuss. Doesn't matter to me. I've been a fan my whole life ... enjoy your sucky team!  Peace. I'm out.

  1. Fins Up, we all feel that way every year. Hang in with us - the journey together is what makes it fun - something else to gripe about besides our own messes! Phins fan forever - anyway.

  2. Philbin is safe but Ireland is still TBD...stand by.

  3. This will fix nothing. Sherman wasn't a true OC, as Philbin was always telling him what to call. Likewise, Sherman wasn't responsible for 6 years of poor drafting and free-agency moves. Nothing will be fixed, but things may well get worse. This is a cowardly move that Ross thinks will appease the fans. Shame on Philbin for throwing his mentor under the bus.

    1. Well to be honest the bad draft that we had were mostly under Bill and previous GM's. Case in point, Ted Ginn, Pat White, Chad Henne and Vontae Davis. Most of those were Parcells sticking his damn nose in and telling people what to draft. Since then Drafts have given us Clay, Pouncey, MIsi, Hartline, Tannehill, Vernon, and Mathews to name a few. This years draft is still too early to evaluate. The Problem was Sherman mainly. Coyle needs to go as well and i am more upset he hasn't been shown the door than any other decision beyond Sherman right now.

    2. OK, that's a good move if we get a REAL OC!!! Still think Ireland/Philbin will stay with a playoffs or out mandate.

    3. To any fan that wants to check out, fine. I've been here too long and still feel that one day, one way it will all come right.

  5. He cheers for the Jets to win a game that would of puts us into the playoffs. Then posts he is done with the team. Chuck is a turn coat as well as a quitter. How is it not clear this guy is a Rex Ryan fan.

  7. So long Chuck. I'm impressed with a man who gives up on the support of his team and stands behind his conviction as opposed to those hypocrites who say they're walking away and then continue as if nothing has happened. Amirite?

  8. Fans dont quit on their teams. Yell and scream about players or personel, sure!
Get upset when they lose over and over and over again, of course!
But... a fan never quits on their team for ANY reason.
Anyone who would even say that was never a real fan to begin with. They were a follower or a bandwagoner. Real fans are fans for life, regardless!

  9. Exactly. He rooted against the phins to lose to the jets so we would miss the playoffs, with his simple minded thinking being people would be fired. And he jumps ship when those people aren't fired? What NFL fan roots against their team to miss the playoffs so coaches and gm can b fired? We don't need your support. Good bye.

  10. We are all in the same boat...Offense was predictable and static. We are Fins fans PERIOD! Who shall we pick N.E..JETS..Seattle..Fair weather fans we are NOT!!!! If the offense built some confidence with Defense its a whole new game. Dimitri and Grimes are shut down CBs we need. D line Great ..LBs played when Dimitri was in and offense held ball. Phins Up!!

  11. Miami's offense is terrible because Ireland can't build an o-line or evaluate RBs, Sherman can't call plays, and Philbin hates the running game. At the least, Philbin and his staff should have been fired, with someone else "assisting" Ireland in the draft/FA.
