Do They Deserve Another Year?

Its very hard to phantom a complete makeover occurring in Davie today.

I think Ross will keep Ireland, who isn't that bad and doesn't deserve to be fired.

When the Pro Bowl rosters were announced, not one recently departed player was voted in. So Ireland hasn't gotten rid of any top tier talent and he has added some good young talent.

I know we need some help on O line and RB. We need a fullback already. One who can get a yard, pass protect and catch.

Philbin, in my mind, deserves another year. He does. Nobody picked us to go 12-4.

If you keep changing every 2 years, no coach will feel comfortable coming here.

Let's face it, we are not an attractive franchise to want to come to.

If we were, Harbough and Fisher would have come.

We have attendance issues and, more importantly, you have to face Brady and Belichick twice a year.

There are 5 other vacancies out there right now.

Who are you gonna get? Who do you want?

I could see getting a new OC. I would like a new STC. Our special teams are not good.

I believe Ireland and Philbin will survive. So will Tannehill and Coyle.

Say goodbye to Sherman.

Phins Up!!!

  2. I totally agree and have been saying this over and over. With a decent o line we would have been at least a 10 win team this year. Give them one more year.

  3. i still think letting reggie bush walk was a huge mistake. Pro bowl or not he had 1000 yards rushing and 500 yards recieving this year. As a phin he had 1200 yards a year and 8 tds a year

  4. No way clean off - next year we will be no better than 7-9 and the Jets and Bills get better. I say start new ... Pay whatever it takes to get Cowher here

    1. Wow Ernesto...if we could get Cowher I would love it but he is very happy making big money part time as analyst...he also gets to watch his kids play and soon enough he will be a grandfather...I just don't see him coming back...maybe Gruden but not Cowher

  5. Your conclusion is correct. The fall guy will be Sherman; perhaps justified. But he won't fire Ireland and Philbin. Considering the Wells report his other option is to fire all of them. But that implies he has some Czar type role guy to do the work of identifying the GM and coach.

    1. If Ross has a czar lined up then he probably would have canned everyone by now. Unless he announces czar tomorrow and then the blood letting will begin.

  6. Sherman isn't going anywhere. Philbin has TOTAL contractual control over his assistants. Meaning the only person that can fire Sherman is Philbin, and that ain't happening. Of course Ross could fire Philbin, but I don't see that happening either.

It's stus quo, gentlemen. Groundhog day all over again...

    1. You may be correct Drumrboy!
Philbin could be told either make the change or you are gone too. Either way, Sherman would be gone. I bet because nothing has been announced, Philbin and Ireland are staying. They both sold themselves to Ross. Philbin may have tried to keep staff in place and Ross wants to think about it tonight.

I think 99% of the fans will stay.
They will just yell a lot more and at a higher volume.
There will be more skeptism that's for sure.
