The Dolphins will not be featured on Hard Knocks

As you all know last year the Dolphins where the featured team on HBO's Hard Knocks and the assumption a lot of people got from it was that no one else wanted to be on it. This year however another team, the Cincinnati Bengals, are willing to open up their doors to the cameras. The announcement is expected to be announced sometime next week. It was kind of a long shot for a team to be featured two straight years so maybe in a year or two the Dolphins name will get thrown back into the mix, I know from a fan's perspective I like to watch it. The Bengals where featured in 2009 and get another crack at in now in 2013.

Queueing up the next round of stadium talks...

There was an article in today's Herald about The Heat looking for new subsidies on their stadium. Why now? Because they're in the NBA finals.

So...one would have to assume that the Dolphins are taking note and if (a) the Heat effort goes anywhere or (b) the Dolphins do moderately well this season and there's interest in them again - they'll be back asking for another handout in the late fall or early winter.

Now just one comment about the AAA (where the heat play) and Joe Robbie: both want to be "competitive" as venues for concerts and the like.  But here's the thing: in addition to these venues, there is a baseball stadium, a hockey arena,  two performing arts centers, a couple of outdoor venues, the Jackie Gleason, and the Hard Rock to compete with (as well as some other venues!)....they all are competing for the same money - but the Hard Rock has a casino and offers the biggest value proposition to acts visiting town - in spite of it being just an okay venue...

Tim Tebow to the Patriots

This came as a bit of a shock to me, the New England patriots are set to sign Tim Tebow. Obviously Tebow isn't going to compete for the starting job but who knows what Bill has in store. Its hard to envision the wildcat being a package of the patriots because they have Brady so why take him out and insert Tebow? They already have Hernandez and Gronk so they might not consider playing him at TE either. This is an interesting acquisition by our division rivals, let's see how it turns out. -- Richard Machado
