Asking for autographs

There's a "story" out there about Jamal Charles asking Peyton Manning for an autograph after the game.

And I say: so what?

Here's a related story: back on 1987, the player strike was going on. The replacement players were brought in to play a few games.

After the lone dolphins home game, two players approached Don Shula and asked him for an autograph.

And this was in a day before autographs were big. Ridiculous? Maybe. But I still love it.
