I'm tired of this excuse

"It takes a long time to get a line prepared to play,"

So sayeth Tony Sparano about the o-line woes.

Funny, when it comes together it's "coaching" and when it doesn't it's a work in progress.

How about this? You're very large, highly paid professional athletes who have been at this for years. And your coaches are experts. There are no acceptable excuses for poor play.

  1. Personally, I do believe that it takes a long time to get an offensive line to play well together.

That's not the problem. The problem is that we keep getting underperforming linemen who have to be replaced.

So the Dolphins are always trying to get a new o-line to learn to work together.

  2. Last year it seemed he tweaked with the o-line roster ad nauseum. This year he wasn't afforded the time. Outside of Pouncey, who did they really bring in? Unless the o-line play improves it will hold back Thomas, Bush, heck the whole offense...
