You've been great...

Dave has had enough for now. He's fed up. He's tired of the the excuses.

So....Dave is not going to post another blog entry about this team until sometime after the season. (collective cheer from the haters!)

Hopefully it will be after some big news like "Chad Henne cut" or "Tony Sparano fired" or "Stephen Ross decides to put as much into the product on the field as he has into the fan experience"

My offseason started today.

cluelessness

Near the end of the half, Henne threw a pass toward the goal line. Bess caught the ball and scored. I saw the ball pop out, and thought maybe he didn't come down with the ball and carry it through...

And there was a booth review.

The dunderhead announcers were going on about the review and how they were likely looking at whether Bess stepped out, because it appeared he did before making the catch.

Only they forgot something important: if Bess stepped out, he can't be the first person to touch the ball. But since the ball was CLEARLY tipped, that was irrelevant.

Now the officials may have been looking at that as well, but the announcers forgot about the rule and were sure it would be overturned. Read the rulebook guys. He can't be the *first* to touch it, but he can certainly make the catch.

This team blows! Last week, I called for calm and suggested Sparano should hang around but his assistants should be fired.

Now, I'm changing my tune. 1-7 at home? And Chad Henne is still starting?

Ay caramba!

I admit I was actually rooting for one of the defenders on the Lions to score a pick-6, just to solidify EVERYONE's opinion that Chad Henne should NOT BE STARTING IN THE NFL.

Sheesh.

More later, I'm too apathetic to care right now.

Samantha was eliminated, leaving Brianne and Nikki as our finalists.

Since we've got a double-elimination tourney, a win by Brianne means we tee it up again next week. A win by Nikki will crown Nikki as the winner.
