I was wrong

Apparently Stephen Ross gave a directive to the groundscrew: make the infield go away for Sunday's game and next Monday's game in the national spotlight.

Apparently the crew will clear the clay and put sod on top of the infield.

My question: isn't this something the team should have been doing for the last several years???

I like me some sod, especially after I googled it.

I have been saying for years that it is so "low-rent" to have a team of players that get paid millions upon millions of dollars as part of a enormously lucrative business (NFL) and put them on a playing field that looks dreadful. You put the players at risk for injury and it just looks bad. Playing on a baseball field should be absolutely embarassing to the Miami Dolphins organization. Kudos to Ross.. but what took him so long! The change was inspired by the national spotlight I suspect.

This is the best news I've heard all day
