I had heard that among the things the NFL wants Joe Robbie Stadium to have is "upgraded lighting" to support HD broadcast. And apparently, what stadium operations does for night games when the Dolphins are playing, or for events like the probowl and superbowl, is to bring in temporary lighting to meet the need.
Considering that we had 3 Dolphins games that required lighting, plus both end-of-year events, that's 5 games. I have trouble with the math here. I can't imagine its *that* much more to install permanent lighting than it was to rent equipment for 5 games.
The math is always fuzzy when it comes to pro sports, isn't it?
