This took some cojones

The Dolphins brought in Pat White for three snaps.  And they were all in the last couple of minutes, during a game winning drive.

Wow.  That took some guts.  And this play, in particular, was amazing.  White has his own number called.  He's in the shotgun, the line clears a hole,  He fakes the pass and runs a draw into the hole for the first down.

That....was....sweeeet.

Even though the plays Pat White was in the game were all positive plays. I absolutely hated bringing him in. It was nice to see he's making progress, but I still feel the final drive is not the place for his first touches of a game.

Did it take some cojones? Yes. But I would rather they show the cojones when Henne is the QB or Ronnie Brown is getting the direct snap.

Also, not sure that Ricky is the best candidate as a direct snap recipient. He's had his fumble problems in the past.

One of the things that makes the Wildcat so tough to depend is all the options it forces the defense to take into account. The direct snap to Ricky (with Ronnie off the field) lessens those options and makes it easier to defend.
