The Dolphins did, indeed, get down to the 53 man roster by waiving 13 of the players that spent training camp in Miami.
I was moderately surprised that Brandon London didn't make it. I was not at all surprised the Rodrique Wright didn't, but I was suprised he never amount to more here. He was a big-time player from Texas who had a great career and won a national championship as a senior. But he had a shoulder injury that kept him out for his whole first year, and he was never able to move up the depth chart.
If I'm not mistaken, he was also the last of Nick's players from that first draft on the roster....
I was also surprised to see Jason Allen stick with the team. I thought fo sho he was going to get cut.
Also, it was odd that they kept all 4 TEs on the roster - Fasano, Martin, Haynos, and Nalbone. Apparently, they didn't want to release either Nablone or Haynos out of fear that another team might claim them.
Then on Sunday, the cut Martin and signed Davon Drew who was in Baltimore's camp.
I guess it goes to show you that you can't be too comfortable on this roster...
