Miami released Vonnie Holliday in what we think is a salary cap move. He was due to make a sizable amount of money this year, so they tried to renegotiate his contract. He declined, and now he's a free agent.
We totally respect Holliday, since he played for three coaches on mostly bad teams, changed defensive schemes each year, and played pretty much every position along the d-line in both a 3-4 and a 4-3. And though he's a vet, he never complained.
After being released he said he knew it was just a business and held no hard feelings.
A gentleman to the end.
