Say what?

The original LT had a lot to say about the "feud" between Parcells and JT.

But, the best line had to be this one "The guy can play football.  Hell, you ain't got six or seven players on that team anyway, so I don't see a problem."

Quitter's award

Ricky won it one year.  Tony Pape won it another.

And, this year, Kory Robertson has decided to retire rather than pursue an NFL career.

Robertson, a 6-foot-4, 345-pound defensive tackle out of Virginia Tech, who was signed May 1, told his agent, Tony Paige, that he didn't "have the fire to do it."

Vote for TD

The Miami Dolphins and the N.Y. Jets really hate each other, so let's have them brawl in the opening round of the Mascot contest. You have the Jets' unofficial mascot, Fireman Ed, who may or may not have coined the famous "J-E-T-S, Jets!, Jets!, Jets!" chant. We know this to be fact and that is he boldly leads the famous chant at all home games, much to the delight of Jets fans. Can Fireman Ed hose down the competition and advance to the second round?

The Dolphins' official mascot, T.D., has held his position since April of 1997. We all know that dolphins are generally very intelligent and friendly marine mammals. When it comes to football mascots, though, T.D. is pressed to employ these two traits to entertain the hard-to-please Miami fans, who have suffered through several years of sub-par football. Rumor has it he's rolls with the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders, who think he's just adorable.

Fireman Ed is a wild and crazy kind of guy and so one would believe that he has a big advantage over happy-go-lucky T.D. But don't count out the Dolphins' mascot, who continues to display that fin-to-fin smile despite how poorly the Dolphins have played in recent seasons. Talk about perseverance! It's your turn to determine which mascot advances. Vote now for either Fireman Ed or T.D.!

Gatorade Tiger Moonshot Challenge with Bill Parcells

I received this in my email today.   This is the first I've heard of it, so I won't vouch for all the facts and details.  But, if you're interested, you might want to check it out.

Hi Dave-

Many of your fellow Dolphin fans may be interested in taking some swings with Bill Parcells this Thursday at Bayfront Park:

I’m sure you’ve seen the ad where Tiger takes a drive off the moon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WenTKxRxIAk). On Thursday, June 5, from 11am-6pm come to Bayfront Park (301 North Biscayne Boulevard Miami, Florida 33132) and try your luck at beating other people at hitting the longest drive in a golf simulator. Bill Parcells, EVP of the Miami Dolphins, is set to make an appearance. Gatorade Tiger will name a male and female winner in each of the five cities that will host the Moonshot Challenge. The finalists will fly to New York City to compete in the Championship Event in Times Square on June 11th. At that competition, a male and female champion will win the opportunity to create their own “out of this world” experience worth up to $125,000.

On behalf of fans who participate in Gatorade Tiger Moonshot Challenge events, Gatorade Tiger will donate $100,000 to the Tiger Woods Foundation. The Tiger Woods Foundation has reached more than 10 million young people through character development programs, scholarships, grants, and the Tiger Woods Learning Center.

Please let us know if you would like any additional information or have any questions.

Thanks!
Alex Jeffrey on behalf of Gatorade Tiger
