A couple of weeks back, I was commenting that Devin Hester was having some success as a wideout. His routes were simple: they had him on go routes, a few stop and goes, and post patterns. These are the simple routes that we run in sandlot football.
And I complained that Ginn should be used similarly, because his speed has the same advantage as Hester's.
And lo and behold, this week, they had Ginn running very simple routes. Two of his three big catches were on go routes, and the other was on a simple post. He just ran and looked for the ball.
Here's to hoping this simplification continues, and he has lots of success with it!
