Its just business

We here at Dave's realize that the release of Zach Thomas was strictly business. The NFL is a cold sport, and when a player has played a dozen years, and is a concussion away from being forced into retirement, its a decision that has to be considered; and on a 1-15 team, made.

The amazing thing is that Zach was universally loved. No one had a single bad thing to say about him. Heck, I believe he was even more revered than Marino.

So, we bid a fond farewell to Zach. It will be weird to see him in another uniform, but like so many players who still had the fire after their teams decided to move on, it will come to pass. Johnny U, Namath, Seau, and many others have been down this path.

Zach will always *be* a Dolphin. He might play a year or two more, but like Richmond Webb, and Zonk, he will retire as a Dolphin and still be a fan favorite.

We'll miss you, but wich you well!
