Yatil Green award...

Guys are just clammoring to win this coveted award, and be the first to get
injured and miss the entire season!

Yet, so far, no one has distinguished themselves, though the golf cart they
use to cart players off the field gave the players a run for the money when
it broke down and couldn't be restarted.

Rumor has it that they're just going to let the grass grow around it as a
constant reminder of injury risk.

Refs new duds

No, that's not a comment about the referees, but rather about their clothes. The officials will be sporting a newer, more modern look this season.

"They should be riding on a horse at Saratoga," said someone who saw the refs wearing them in NY.

Adding injury to, well, injury

The weirdo was walking barefoot through the Argo's locker room, and apparantly stubbed his toe on something. But the laceration was bad enough to require stitches.

This comes just a few days after he played a joke on the local media by coming in with his ankle taped and using crutches.

Saban's snub

I loved Armando Salguero's article in the Herald this morning.

In particular, I loved this quote:
The coach might have considered moving Sunday's afternoon practice, but he had an out-of-town guest speaker scheduled to discuss hydration with the players, so rearranging things was not possible. from

By the way, Saban should also not accept any offers to go hunting with the VP.

Thanks, but no thanks

El presidente was in town this weekend. He invited a few prominent
individuals to dinner at Joe's Stone Crab. Dan Marino accepted. Nick Saban
said he didn't have the time because the team just opened training camp. He
wanted to be with his team.

Hmmm. On the plus side, dinner at Joe's. I think you can guess at the
downside of this deal...the company.

What I'm curious about is whether he had to wait for a table. And who paid
for this anyway? You and me?
